Welcome to the SciFiWriters group! We meet once a month usually online on DISCORD.
We started as a live, local group NTSFW, the North Texas Speculative Fiction Workshop, and we still have a lot of those members here with us. Sometimes we will meet up live at a local coffee shop, bookstore, or a member’s home. So stay tuned on Discord for any updates.

WED WRITE IN
Like writing with other writers?
At least one day a week, we gather on Discord on @WritersWriteIn! in the #WriteIn! voice/video channel to write most of Wednesday. This isn’t a day to talk all day, though we do ask questions, brainstorm, and so on. Any writer is welcome. I’m usually there about noon ct. See ya there!
What happened to NTSFW.com?
The North Texas Speculative Fiction Workshop (NTSFW) website didn’t get renewed in time (my fault) and so we are parking ourselves here and have morphed into SCIFIWRITERS to include all our writers around the planet.
So now, check us out on DISCORD as SPECFICWRITERS.
Interested in joining our monthly speculative fiction workshop?
We meet every 2nd Saturday of the month at 6pm central on Discord channel @SpecFicWriters. Contact me as “alleypat” or Peter as “GenisuLemur” for more info.
Submissions for critique must be uploaded to the Discord server in the #submissions-for-critique channel at least one week prior to the meeting, deadline Sunday midnight before the meeting.
Electronic critiques are uploaded in the #critiques-uploaded channel. Marked up crits aren’t required but helpful.
As a brand new member, before you can critique or submit a work for critique, we ask that you attend at least one meeting to see how we operate and see if this group serves your purpose. (Not all groups are for all people.)
